The Music Hall Theatre, the largest urban theatre in St. Petersburg with a hall capacity of around one and a half thousand spectators.

The Leningrad Music Hall was first opened in 1928 in the building of the People's House. During those years, the institution's program featured variety shows, jazz comedies, and performances. However, in 1937, the Music Hall was closed because it was considered a source of bourgeois art. This continued until 1966 when the Leningrad Music Hall was reopened in the House of Culture named after the Leningrad Soviet under the leadership of one of the leading cultural figures in St. Petersburg, I.Ya. Rakhlin. In the late 1980s, the theatre returned to its historic venue in the former People's House building.

The Music Hall repertoire includes productions for the whole family (such as "The Bremen Town Musicians") and adult performances based on masterpieces of world classics.

In 2018, the historical genre of opera returned to the Music Hall stage. This gave rise to the "Opera for All" festival. Every year, residents and guests of St. Petersburg attend this event to enjoy Russian and international opera. Admission to the festival is free.

Additionally, the theatre organizes a Gala Concert at the "Singing Bridges" festival on the City Day.
