The unique ballet theatre shows the traditions of Russian classical ballet on the ice rink

The St. Petersburg State Ballet on Ice was established by the Russian choreographer Konstantin Boyarsky in 1967. The outstanding choreographer has changed the common ice-skating show and added the elements of ballet to it. In that way Konstantin Boyarsky combined the art of ballet and sport.

In 1980 the Merited Artist of Russia Konstantin Rassadin became the chief choreographer. The repertoire was replenished with new dance programs to the music of Chopin, Mussorgsky, Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky. Throughout the time multiple World and European champions took part in the Ballet performances. In addition to the performances in St. Petersburg, the theatre tours around the world with great success. The State Ballet on Ice has five productions: "Sleeping Beauty", "The Nutcracker", "Swan Lake", "Cinderella", "Romeo and Juliet". The Ballet productions combine classical music, elegant choreography, grace of dance and fabulous costumes in a fascinating way.
