A unique children's and youth theatre school

The Theatre of Youth Creativity (TYC), was founded in 1956 by a director and teacher Matvey Grigoryevich Dubrovin. He created the theater to educate the younger generation by means of dramatic art. In many years, the TYC has developed a pedagogical system that teaches children acting skills, as well as other theatrical professions, such as lighting operators, make-up artists, costumers.

Today, the Theatre of Youth Creativity has about 300 apprentices. To get into the team, children undergo a competitive selection, during which the jury determines their inclination and interest in theatrical creativity. Together with teachers, children put on performances based on the works of world classics and modern authors. The theatre is directed by a student of M.G. Dubrovin, Russia’s Honored Worker of Culture Evgeny Yurievich Sazonov.
