Interactive Children Theatre in an old castle
The children's theatre "Flashlight" is located on the second floor of the "Chaliapin’s Dacha" cultural space. The mansion, resembling a medieval castle, was built in 1914 and belonged to the merchant Dmitry Kotlov. After the revolution of 1917, the building was nationalized, it housed an elementary school and a library. In 2014, the house was renovated and turned into a creative center. The team of "Flashlight" maintains a homely atmosphere in the theatre: young spectators and their parents can sit on benches or on soft carpets and pillows. At the entrance, guests are greeted either by the Caretaker of the castle or a Lady in a hat. After watching the performance, a mini-buffet is organized for the audience in a café. Here a child's birthday can also be celebrated with a special festive program prepared by the actors of the theatre.
