The theatre was established in 1990. The artistic director of the theatre is the Merited Master of Sports of Russia, Olympic champion Elena Viktorovna Berezhnaya. The world-famous figure skaters – Evgeni Plushenko, Naomi Lang, Irina Slutskaya – take part in the performances of the theatre. The Children's Ice Theatre cooperates with Ilya Izyaslavich Averbukh, director of theatrical shows and festivals.

Performances take place on a natural ice surface, as well as on special plastic ice. This technology allows the theatre to hold ice shows anywhere, in open and closed rooms. The repertoire includes such performances as "Twelve Months", "The Nutcracker", "Aladdin", "Buratino", etc. The magnificent performance of the actors, modern scenery and original musical compositions will be appreciated by viewers of all ages.
