"Open Workshops" is a creative center based at the Lermontov Library, it includes art workshops, a lecture hall, exhibition halls and concert halls.

The work of the space is organized in such a way that any person can both gain knowledge in the field of applied and visual arts, and share it, learn and teach. New masters regularly join the project, so the list of classes is constantly growing.

The creative space "Open Workshops" is a non-profit project of alternative humanitarian education. The training takes place in several formats: open lectures, master classes from invited specialists, "one-day" trainings, as well as long classes for small groups, the participants of which are selected based on motivation letters.

The residents of the space conduct classes as part of the author's courses in various areas: calligraphy and lettering, graphic stories (comics), computer animation, reportage and art photography, jewelry art, carpentry and leatherwork, drawing and painting, floristry, printing on fabric. Lectures on the history and theory of cinema, art, literature, and artistic translation are regularly held here.

In addition to teaching, the Open Workshops host concerts, including those with elements of educational storytelling, interactive lectures, and creative meetings. Thanks to this cultural project, the very concept of a library has acquired a completely new meaning, supporting or igniting interest in the humanities among listeners of all ages.
