49, Kurlyandskaya street

A modern theatre with a thirty-year history and rich repertoire, in which a new drama and classical productions successfully coexist

In 1991, Zinovy Yakovlevich Korogodsky founded the Theatre of Generations. It got this name because its founder believed that all generations of creative forces should be united in the theatre: actors and directors of different generations and graduations and future actors

Since 1991, the theatre has been located on the Obukhov Defense prospect. Since August 2006, under the leadership of Danila Zinovievich Korogodsky, the Theatre of Generations moved its premises into the Naryshkin bastion of the Peter and Paul Fortress. During the time that the troupe lived in Naryshkin Bastion, 13 repertoire performances were staged.

In 2010, the Theatre of Generations found its new home on Kurlyandskaya Street, where it is still located. The new stage was opened to the public with the performance "Petersburg-Burg," which was attended by professors of stage disciplines of the largest American university - the California Institute of Arts.
