Тheater founded by the St. Petersburg Theatre Academy graduates

In 2013, the A. A. Praudin’s workshop group of graduates made the decision to create their own theatre. They named it the Free Artist’s Workshop, reflecting the founders’ main idea, which was the search for new forms of expression. Initially, the repertoire consisted of only student productions and actors' diploma works.

Fairly quickly, the name of the Free Artist’s Workshop was reduced to a concise “TSEKH’” (Workshop)." In 2018, the theatre moved into the building of the former Chkalovsky Baths Boiler Room in the Petrogradsky District. This allowed them to create an incredible mobile, transformable venue where everything changes, from the arrangement of the hall to the organization of the space itself.

Throughout its existence, “TSEKH’” has diligently explored new genres. Today, the theatre also operates “TSEKH’ for Children," where young audiences can enjoy heartwarming original fairy tales. For adult audiences, the repertoire includes innovative and bold productions.
