St. Petersburg Theatre with a Christian Soul

“Strannik" drama theatre was created in 2007, it is located in the building of the current temple. Its mission is to search for the Christian soul in the literary works of modern and classical Russian authors. This theatre is created for those who exhausted of experiments and outrageous productions, who want to enjoy the traditions of Russian culture. The artistic director of the theatre is Vladimir Nikolayevich Uvarov. He has staged more than 20 performances at “The Wanderer”. Many of them have become laureates of theatre awards and participants of various festivals.


Today in the repertoire of the theatre comprises Pushkin's "Little Tragedies" and the love story of Raskolnikov and Sonya by Dostoevsky. The performances of “The Wanderer” are liked by both adults and children. For young viewers, "The Scarlet Flower" or the fairy tale "How the wolf was taught to understand good" would be especially interesting.
