Chamber theatre created by graduates of the courses of I.O. Gorbachev and Z.Ya. Korogodsky

The “Scarlet Sails” Theatre was created in 2001 by the efforts of students of Soviet artists Igor Gorbachev and Zinovy Korogodsky. At the beginning, the theatre performed at various venues, and in 2016 it acquired a permanent space for performances in Malaya Posadskaya street.

A distinctive feature of the theatre is a cozy homely atmosphere in which the audience manages to fully experience the emotions of the actors. The theatre is named after the famous story by Alexander Grin, because the philosophy of the artists of the "Scarlet Sails" is to do a miracle with their own hands, like the characters of the tale did.

The theatre has participated in various competitions and festivals. Today one can see both dramatic performances for adults and vivid children's performances on its stage. The audience returns to the "Scarlet Sails" to feel the unityonce again and spiritual atmosphere in a small hall, where sincere emotions are felt.
