A unique art-space, comprising a museum, a theatre, a café and a guest house, located in the heart of St. Petersburg near the historical sights of the city

Cultural and Historical Centre «The House of the Romanovs» was founded on March 1, 2013 in the year of the 400th anniversary of the Romanovs dynasty. It is situated very close to Nevsky Prospect and the Feodorovsky Cathedral. The Centre is housed in the detached wing of the building, built by the architect Ziegler von Schafhausen in 1860. This place witnessed a lot of historical events, the Revolution, The Great Patriotic War, The Siege, numerous reconstructions. It is considered that in the beginning of the XX century revolutionaries and later the monarchists hoping to revive the monarchy had their meetings in the house.


This unique place is imbued with the spirit of history and lets its visitors and guests to immerse themselves into the atmosphere of Imperial Russia. Here they will see different artifacts reflecting the history of the Romanovs, exhibits of the XIX – XX century: orders, photographs, icons, monetary signs, personal belongings and more.


Music and poetry nights, theatrical performances and concerts of classical music take place in the “House of the Romanovs”. This is the place where its guests and visitors can spend a great time, while observing the exhibition devoted to the Romanovs dynasty.
