Legendary public baths in the centre of St. Petersburg
The history of this place begins in the distant year 1871, when the building of these baths was constructed to the design of the renowned architect Pavel Syuzor. They were then named "Voroninskiye" – after their owner, the merchant of the 3rd guild and academician Mikhail Stepanovich Voronin.
Today, Fonarnye is a modern bathhouse complex that combines love and respect for the past with a high standard of service. We see our mission as the development of bathhouse culture, and we want these – some of the oldest baths in Russia – to remain a place of strength for centuries to come.
