The first private contract theatre in Russia named after the People’s Artist of the RSFSR, Andrei Mironov

The "Russian Entreprise" theatre was founded on November 1, 1988 by the People's Artist of Russia Rudolf Furmanov. The theatre takes its name from the French word "entreprise," which meant a theatre enterprise created by a private person - an entrepreneur. Thanks to the contract system of interaction with artists, viewers have the opportunity to watch popular artists from other theatres and cinema stars on the stage of the "Russian Entreprise" theatre.

The first eight seasons since its foundation, the “Russian Entreprise” did not have its own stage, artists of the theatre had to perform on rented stages and toured around Russia and abroad. The theatre acquired its own stage on April 3, 1995, and on October 17, 1996, its grand opening took place. By the order of the government of St. Petersburg, the theatre was provided with premises in the "House with Towers" (Rosenstein's apartment building) on Bolshoi Prospekt of the Petrogradskaya Side. Considering a historical fact that Andrei Mironov's grandfather, Semyon Menaker, owned a bill of sale for a part of this house before the revolution, this event became truly symbolic.

On the second floor of the theatre there is a museum, the exposition of which occupies the upper foyer. On the first floor of the theatre there is a room, dedicated to Andrei Mironov, the exposition of the room traces in detail the artist's creative path.
