Museum-pharmacy "Doctor Poehl`s pharmacy"

The pharmacy building was built in the XVIII century for this very purpose. It also housed medicine workshops and a tenement house.
But the history of the house as the “world-famous Poehl’s Pharmacy” began in 1858. In 1858, pharmacist Wilhelm Poehl moved his pharmacy here, combining houses 16 and 18. Poehl was involved in chemical experiments and was the official supplier of medicines to the imperial court.
