Estonian St. John's Church
A piece of old Tallinn in the center of St. Petersburg.
The Lutheran-Evangelical Church of St. John (Jaani Kirik) was built in 1859-1863 with funds from the Estonian diaspora. Its authors are architects Karl Ziegler von Schaffhausen and Harald Bosse. In 2009, the restoration of the church began and on February 20, 2011, after the completion of the restoration work, the opening and consecration of the Church of St. John took place. The restored Church of St. John has excellent acoustics and is equipped with modern technical equipment.
