Monument to Sakharov

The country's first monument to the greatest humanist and academician
The monument, located on Academician Sakharov Square, was erected in 2003.
The bronze figure of Sakharov is installed on a large granite boulder with an information board, the height of which is 1.9 meters. The height of the sculpture is 3.5 meters. The monument was created by the sculptor L. Lazarev as a gift to the city with the project financed by private individuals.
