Narvskaya gate
Ivana Chernykh ul., 23
From July of 1990 it is the state regional museum
The Narvskaya Zastava Museum is located in two buildings — historical and architectural monuments located in the Kirovsky District of St. Petersburg. Part of the museum's exposition is located in the right wing of the estate house of Princess Ekaterina Romanovna Dashkova, built during the heyday of the Peterhof Road in the 18th century, and the continuation of the exposition is located in a building built in the late 19th century on Ivan Chernykh Street, the former home of L.E. Gekht, where there was an office for the distribution of sewing machines. Together they form a single historical and local history museum complex.
From the history of the museum:
The museum as a state institution was founded in July 1990 with the aim of developing the historical and local history direction in the Kirovsky District of St. Petersburg on the basis of the public museum of the history of Narvskaya Zastava, founded in 1972. The museum exposition in the right wing of the estate house of Princess E.R. Dashkova opened in 2007.
