The Museum and Historical Park "Fort Island" is an object of the social complex of the new historical and cultural cluster of Kronstadt.
The park is intended to become a place of interesting and useful recreation for Kronstadt residents and guests of the city. It provides expanded opportunities for recreation and entertainment, thematic areas with information about the history of the Russian Navy have been created. Among them is the Alley of Heroes of the Russian Navy, the main object of the park, which tells about more than three centuries of the history of the Navy, as well as the Lighthouse of Memory, on which the names of two hundred heroic sailors who served in the navy from the era of Peter the Great to the present day are inscribed.
The park has a 1,000 square meter playground, walking areas and quiet recreation areas, including an apple orchard with a pond. On the shore, there are panoramic swings with a simultaneous seating of up to 24 people. All these objects can be used free of charge.
For the youngest guests of the entertainment complex, there is a paid children's rope park with instructors-animators. The design solutions of all its sites are related to the maritime service and the fleet.
The "Fort Island" park has social significance and solves not only recreational, but also educational tasks. Its museum potential is revealed through permanent thematic exhibitions, which are held in the open air and are available to all visitors.
