Lieutenant Schmidt Embankment

The Icebreaker Festival, designed to highlight the achievements of Russia's icebreaker industry, is the flagship event for opening the summer tourism season in St. Petersburg
During the festival, the renowned icebreakers moor along the Lieutenant Schmidt Embankment. The magnificent vessels are open for tours to all visitors. Across the festival site, vibrant illustrative exhibitions and workshops for children are organised. The climax of the festival is the majestic 'waltz of the tugboats'.
