The Historical-Cultural Museum Complex in Razliv
Sestroretsk, Yemelyanova ul., 3
The historical and cultural museum complex in Razliv is located in one of the most beautiful suburbs of St. Petersburg - Sestroretsk, 32 km from the city.
Its history began in the summer of 1917, when a worker at the Sestroretsk tool factory, N. A. Yemelyanov, hid V. I. Lenin and G. E. Zinoviev in the attic of his barn for several days before transporting them to the other side of Lake Razliv, where a hut made of branches and hay was built for them.
In 1925, it was decided to perpetuate the historical sites and create memorial museums of V. I. Lenin - "Hut" and "Barn", and in 2005, on the basis of the museums, the St. Petersburg State Budgetary Cultural Institution "Historical and Cultural Museum Complex in Razliv" was created.
Preserving the history of revolutionary St. Petersburg, the museum complex conducts scientific work to study and popularize the history of the Kurortny District, actively works with representatives of contemporary art, inviting them to create exhibitions of contemporary art on the territory of the memorial park in the Public Art format.
Interactive programs are held for children in the open air. One and a half hour classes include studying the history and life of the inhabitants of Sestroretsk, observing nature and the surrounding world, active games, a puppet theater, performances, master classes.
The museum complex in Razliv includes: the V. I. Lenin's Hut Museum, the N. A. Yemelyanov's Saray Museum, and the Art-Resort exhibition hall.
From May to October, all three museums are connected by a waterway - a small pleasure ferry runs along Lake Razliv.
