The Samson hotel traces its history to the 19th century. The hotel was opened in 19th century opposite the entrance to the Upper Garden of Peterhof. The restaurant was especially popular. Alexander Dumas praised its cuisine in his memoirs. Pestle, Schwartz, Tolstoy and Grigorovitch used to come here.
