«Kvartirka» Soviet Cafe is a truly cozy place where interior is designed in the style of bygone Soviet era.
«Kvartirka» Soviet Cafe is situated in one of the most picturesque pedestrian streets of St. Petersburg (address: 1, Malaya Sadovaya). Here any guests would feel as if they come to visit good friends. The cafe recreates the atmosphere of the cozy houses of Soviet era: vinyl records, a massive buffet with chinaware, a ficus on the windowsill, vintage clocks and a dial-up telephone, skis and sleds on the shelves and, of course, Soviet music hits. Here we tenderly keep memories that unite generations.
The nostalgic atmosphere is accompanied by favorite Soviet meals, such as legendary dressed herring or Russian salad, ukha with rasstegai (fish soup with open fish pie) or rich borsch (beet soup) For dessert one can choose Russian browny (so called Potato), Napoleon layer cake or even a samovar of tea with jam, cookies, pryaniki (honey cookies) and ring-shaped cracknels.
While waiting one can enjoy favorite board games of that era: dominoes, lotto, checkers or chess.
