Cafes and restaurants of St. Petersburg will not work on New Year's Eve

All establishments will close at 23:00 due to restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Evgeny Yelin.

“Our catering establishments are open until 23.00 Moscow time and will continue to work [on New Year's Eve]. Now the possibility of checking their compliance with the requirements on this night is being discussed, "said a spokesman for the press service (quoted by TASS).

As a reminder, according to the decree on amendments to the decree of the Government of St. Petersburg dated 13.03.2020 No. 121 "On measures to counter the spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in St. Petersburg," the ban on working in the city of cafes, bars and restaurants from 23 : 00 to 06:00 is valid until January 15, 2021.
