On October 17, 2020, in the St. Petersburg Passage shopping center, a literary musical evening “Our Brodsky. The Return ”, timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Leningrad poet and Nobel laureate Joseph Brodsky took place.

In the event, organized by the Central City Public Library named after Vladimir Mayakovsky and the Passage Trading House, Yakov Gordin, a writer, historian and publicist, author of the book “The Knight and Death, or Life as a Plan: About the fate of Joseph Brodsky”, actors of the Malyshitsky Chamber Theater and the Grad Quartet ensemble took part.

The event took place in the evening, when the visitors had already left the Trade House. The subdued lighting of the central gallery on the first floor, the soulful reading of poetry, conversations about the poet and archival photographs of Brodsky himself, his family and friends, created the feeling of a personal meeting with the author. The evening was graced by the poet's favorite music, performed in the popular format "Russian crossover".

The guests received as a gift a map of "Saint-Petersburg of Joseph Brodsky", which contains all the addresses of our city associated with the life and work of the poet.
