The chest with holy relics of St. Admiral Ushakov arrives at Kronstadt on July, 21

The relic is being brought from the Sanaksar monastery in Mordovia for the Day of the Navy, the press service of the Western Military District reports.

The relics of the famous naval commander will be placed on a special boat, which is to make the rounds of all the vessels participating in the Main Naval Parade. A prayer service will be performed on board.

After the prayer service, the relics of St. Admiral Ushakov will be delivered to the Naval cathedral of Saint Nicholas in Kronstadt, where they will remain until the parade, accessible for worship to the general public.

Let us recall that the Naval Parade will be held in St. Petersburg and Kronstadt on July 26. It is going to be attended by 46 newest ships and submarines of the Baltic, Black Sea, Pacific and Northern fleets. 42 aircrafts and helicopters are taking part in the flypast.
