Representatives of the authorities said that if the epidemiological situation in the city does not worsen, then in St. Petersburg  a massive "ZaBeg" will take place on August 2.

Chairman of the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports Anton Shantyr said that preparations are currently underway for the half-marathon “ZaBeg” in St. Petersburg. However, the head of the relevant committee noted that the conduct of this event depends on the epidemiological situation in the city.

“There will be five distances, ranging from 1.5 kilometers to 21 kilometers. These are mass competitions, and I really hope that this day, August 2, will become the start of mass and large competitions in our beloved city”, - said Anton Shantyr.

We remind you that ZaBeg is the largest half marathon in Russia with a synchronized start. Every year, more than 150,000 athletes from different cities of our country take part in these competitions.
