The «Isaac's Cathedral» museum complex was the most visited showplace in 2019

More than 8 million people in general visited museums controlled by the Committee for Culture.

The Isaac's Cathedral complex was the most visited in 2019 amonged the museums controlled by the Committee for Culture. It was visited by about 4.2 million people. The «Saint Petersburg» TV channel reported on it quoting the head of the committee Konstantin Sukhenko.

In total, more than 8 million people visited the museums of the city. More than 2.6 million people visited the State Museum of the History of Saint Petersburg.

The head of the committee also noted such remarkable  2019 events as the «Deineka/Samokhvalov» exhibition,  events related to the 100th birthday of D.A. Granin, the opening of the  «Metamorphoses of the orchestra» exhibition and «The Museum Night».
