The Minister of Culture of Russia Olga Lyubimova signed an order to reopen, on June 16, the open spaces of the museums and museum-reserves, that are under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Culture.
Institutions will be able to receive visitors if all the measures, that ensure the sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population, are taken.
It is noted that in some cases, the Ministry of Culture of Russia may set a different date for the resumption of functioning of open museum spaces. For example, the Kizhi State Historical, Architectural and Ethnographic Museum-Reserve began receiving visitors on June 10. Visiting Kizhi requires wearing protective mask and gloves, as well as keeping social distance. Only the main exposition is available for visitors, and not the indoor spaces.
