Mariinsky Theater Postpones “Stars of the White Nights” Festival

19 May 2020

The new festival dates and the programme will be published at a later date.

Due to the temporary ban on the holding of mass events, the Mariinsky Theater is forced to reschedule the XXVIII Music Festival «Stars of White Nights».

The festival was founded in 1993 and has been held annually since then.

"Without the festival it is impossible to imagine the cultural life of St. Petersburg, and therefore the administration of the theater will do everything possible to hold it on new dates," the press service of the theater informs.

The poster of the festival, which was to be held this year from 17 May to 26 July, contains star names and bright performances, and the theatre will try to keep most of the planned events.
