Vladimir Litvinov, the general director of the arena (The Saint Petersburg Stadium also called the Krestovsky Stadium or Gazprom Arena), talked about it readiness. His words are reported by the TASS news agency. The UEFA European Football Championship was moved for exactly one year - for the summer of 2021. The schedule of games has not yet been approved, and the British edition of Daily Mail reported a possible reduction in the number of host cities.

According to the general director of Gazprom Arena, which takes the name Saint Petersburg Stadium for major tournaments, the stadium is ready to host up six matches of the European Championship.

Nevertheless, at the present time, the holding of the UEFA Champions League final and four matches of the European Championship in 2021 at stadium has been officially confirmed.

Mr. Litvinov emphasized that additional games give an additional chance for the city and the stadium to develop.
