State Museum ‘Pavlovsk’ visited by more than 1.5 million people

For five years, museum attendance has doubled.

Vera Dementieva, Director of The State Museum-Reserve ‘Pavlovsk’, said that the museum was visited by more than 1.5 million people in 2019. That was reported by Interfax North-West.

According to the director, museum attendance exceeds 1.5 million people for the second year in a row. Over 5 years, the growth amounts to 700-800 thousand. 60% of visitors are St. Petersburg residents and citizens of the Russian Federation.

Dementieva also noted the success of 2019 for the museum in terms of the quality of exhibitions. The exhibition ‘Imperial Gifts’ will continue until May, where gifts are presented by the European monarchs to Russian rulers.

In 2020, the museum will release reissues about employees who worked in the museum during the Great Patriotic War and went to the front, also there are plans to have an aeronautics exhibition in Pavlovsk.
