A collection of technical and artistic achievements of glassmaking has been on display in the Greenhouse Building of the Elaginoostrovsky Ensemble in Saint Petersburg since 2010.

The basis of the museum's exposition is a unique collection of art products made at the Leningrad Art Glass Factory. In 1996 the plant was closed and the collection of the factory museum, which by that time consisted of about seven thousand items, was placed in the storage facility of the Kitchen Building.

Museum visitors will get an idea about the process of glass making and its processing, and get acquainted with the most interesting works of artists.

The entrance area of the central hall is an imitation of furnaces in which glass is made. There are areas for hot and cold glass processing, where you can see what the glass-blowing workshop looked like, learn about the composition of glass and get an idea of how glass is used in mosaics and stained glass windows.

The central hall of the Museum of Artistic Glass presents exhibits that would be more correct to call “significant” in the history of domestic glassmaking, these are some kind of milestones on the creative path of the Leningrad Art Glass Factory. Among them are such unique items as Mukhina's Torso (1949), Uspensky's vases, Muntyan's Leningradskaya vase (1958), Astvatsaturyan's compositions Flight (1972) and Sunrise (1981).

The exposition of the black hall presents the best works of artists and craftsmen of the Leningrad Art Glass Factory and is divided into four thematic zones: basic glass processing techniques, a variety of glass color palettes, serial crystal products and original works of artists.

The eastern wing of the Greenhouse building is intended for temporary exhibitions. Works of contemporary Russian and foreign glass artists are exhibited here.
