The Gustav Winter is a panoramic restaurant, located on the shores of Lake Ladoga and on the territory of the Dacha Winter Park hotel.

The restaurant continues the secular traditions laid down by the owner, the famous surgeon Gustav Winter. Under him, the culture of country rest, musical evenings, dinner parties and promenades along the Ladoga coast flourished.

The Gustav Winterintroduces travelers to the uniqueness of the Northern Ladoga region through gastronomic impressions, natural location and historical background. The building of the restaurant is inscribed in the natural landscape of a rocky cape. From here a panoramic view of the main elements of Karelia opens: stones, forest and water.

The restaurant's menu is based on the love for the local product. The focus is on the guest and his taste preferences, as well as a wide range of products - high quality meat, fish typical of the region, root crops and forest mushrooms.

The starting point for the formation of the concept of the menu of the restaurant Gustav Winter was the geographical and gastronomic features of Karelia. On the one hand, local and farm products, traditional recipes of Karelia, nostalgic tastes from childhood, on the other hand, modern trends.

The menu organically reflects the nature of the Karelian area with dishes from forest mushrooms and northern berries, game meat. Homemade barley noodles with the addition of fragrant forest mushroom broth, accompanied by mushrooms, honey mushrooms and porcini mushrooms. Pickled mushrooms, pheasant poultices with mashed potatoes and lingonberry sauce, elk with cream barley.

The property of the Ladoga and Onega lakes - local fish - is presented in all its diversity. Karelian trout tartare, spicy beetroot with lightly salted vendace mousse, Onega burbot skoblyanka and pike-perch and trout sugudai with herb potatoes and lightly salted cucumbers deserve a separate visit to the Gustav Winter restaurant.
