A playwright and prosaist Alexander Pushkin is recognized by the society as the greatest national Russian poet. He was born in Moscow, but spent his best years in Saint Petersburg. He is considered the reformer of the Russian literary language. Alexander Pushkin is the author of timeless prose and poetry: novels «Evgeny Onegin», «Dubrovsky», well-known poems «Ruslan and Lyudmila», «Kavkazsky plennik», story «The Queen of Spades» and many others, and children's fairytales.
