At the Museum-Mansion of Gavrila Derzhavin in St. Petersburg for the first time will sound live organ
The Museum-Mansion of Gavrila Derzhavin, being an architectural gem, a unique landmark of the Northern Capital of Russia, presents an ensemble of buildings built in the 18th century. This place is connected with the life and work of the great poet Gavrila Derzhavin, a forerunner of Alexander Pushkin. This was a meeting place for the most famous people of their times, writers and poets, artistic intellectuals and the greatest art patrons. The mansion was frequently visited by Denis Fonvizin, Nikolai Karamzin, Alexander Stroganov, Ivan Krylov, Dmitri Levitsky and other interesting people.
For three evenings the audiences will have a chance to listen to performances by talented musicians from Moscow and St. Petersburg.
