The exhibition "The Creator of Winged Songs", dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the birth of russian composer Vasily Solovyov-Sedoy
The exhibition "The Creator of Winged Songs" consists of materials of creative activity and documents for the biography of Solovyov-Sedoy from the personal fund of the composer stored in the Central state archive of literature and art of St. Petersburg.
Soloviev-Sedoy created more than 400 songs, including "Podmoskovnye Vechera", which gained world fame, 9 operettas and one musical comedy, 2 ballets, music for 50 movies and other works.
Of particular interest are musical manuscripts - autographs of famous songs by the composer, including "Evening Song" by A. Churkin ("The City Over the Free Neva"), which remains an unofficial anthem of St. Petersburg.
