Leningrad region is one of top 10 destinations in Russia for booking the most expensive hotels
Tvil.ru accommodation booking service determined top 10cities and resorts where tourists book the most expensive hotel rooms. The list is compiled on the basis of hotel reservations made by tourists via the service.
Hight-priced hotel rooms are booked predominantly by families – 40,55%, couples – 27,39% and groups– 19,53%. Usually, tourists are looking for expensive hotel rooms in Yalta, Sochi and the Krasnaya Polyana resort. One can also book luxury hotel rooms belonging to the national operator in Anapa and Gelendzhik. Generally, costly accommodation is occupied by the residents of Moscow and the Moscow region, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, as well as citizens of the northern regions of Russia.
According to the statistics of the service, large areas, spa-centres and location in historic mansions significantly increase the average spend in hotels. Period houses, equipped for hotels, can be found in St. Petersburg and Crimea.
