Commemorative events began at 6 o’clock in the morning when an aerostat appeared in the sky above the city, lifting the canvas created by the club’s team movement. The big sixty-by-forty meter painted canvas depicts a football player from ‘Zenit’.
At noon, a blank shot was fired from the Naryshkin bastion of the Peter and Paul Fortress. The solemn shot was pushed out by the head coach of the team Sergei Semak and the president of the football club Alexander Medvedev. Following that, the torches of Rostral Columns were lit up in honor of ‘Zenit’.
Club officials stated that celebrations were held security-wise, in accordance with all measures to control the spread of COVID-19 and avoiding mass gathering.
