New flight Saint Petersburg – Zagreb

Today, 8 June, opening ceremony of regular flights en-route Saint Petersburg – Zagreb will take place in Pulkovo Airport. Flights between the capital of Croatia and Nothern capital of Russia will be carried for the first time in the contemporary history of the airport.

Presentation of the new direction is timed to opening of summer season 2016. Direct flights will be launched by Croatia Airlines, national carrier of Croatia. Saint Petersburg is known to become the only Russian city in the airline company’s route network.

Flights from Saint Petersburg to Zagreb will be performed twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays  by Airbus A319. Each aircraft holds 144 passengers. The plane performing a new flight will be traditionally welcomed with a water arch from fire hoses. And then the rest of ceremonial events will be shifted to the passenger terminal.
