"Fight on Neva" - the largest event of this kind in our city.
It is a fascinating and spectacular kind of a festival including a knightly tournament, the interactive museum of history, performance of creative collectives of historical and national orientation, presentation of historical circles and studios, as well with participation of teenage and youth clubs of St. Petersburg.
The main goal of the festival is to teach the younger generation to love history, to become interested in humanities and culture and to fill them with enthusiasm for sports and healthy lifestyle.
In 2014 and 2015 military and historical clubs from St. Petersburg, Moscow, Novgorod, Smolensk, Kazan, Belgorod, Stavropol, Rostov, Krasnodar and other cities of Russia, and also Belarus, Finland, Israel took part in "Fight on Neva".
One day back in 2014, the festival was visited by more than 15000 people, and in 2015, there were more than 40000 visitors on two days.
According to the results of a national award in the sector of event tourism of Russian Event Awards 2015, the largest festival of medieval culture of the Northwest made the first place in the nomination "The Best Event of a Historical Orientation".
Organizers promise, in 2016 the festival will be bested when it comes to the number of international participants and number of the expected guests – from England, Finland, Israel, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, France, Ukraine and Belarus! The expected number of visitors – more than 60000 people. Come to Peter and Paul Fortress on July 16/17 and become a part of History!
