St. Petersburg Race of Bikers with Zapashny Brothers. ‘Motostolitsa’ Festival Programme

The traditional motorcycle festival, the International Festival ‘Motostolitsa’ will be held for the third time in St. Petersburg. Over 500 bikers from Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Germany and Finland will take part in the event.

The festival starts at noon with the race of bikers. The motorcycle rally will be led by well-known circus artists Edgard and Askold Zapashny. Artists will ride on Klenovaya Street on motorbikes and make a ‘victory lap’. After that, the demonstration races of hand-assembled motorcycles will be held on the territory of the custom races site. Spectacular stunts of motorcyclists can be observed before the evening performance of musicians.

The opening ceremony of the festival will take place at 2 pm on the main stage at the Manege Square. Throughout the day, the concert and entertainment programme will be held on the main stage, such as performances of the original genre artists, show ballet and circus artists. At 6 pm, the relay will go to the headliners of the festival, Alexander Ustyugov and the Ekibastuz band.

An unusual event of the motorcycle festival will be held at the wedding venue, where everyone can bring each other love vows and exchange wedding bracelets.

An entertainment venue with a children's town is organized for young guests, where children will get acquainted with motorcycle vehicles and traffic rules, as well as be able to participate in colourful master classes.

Participants and guests of all ages will be able to plunge into the world of the modern entertainment industry on virtual reality attractions: Moto VR, BitShift Battle, Cyberpunk Motorcycles. Also, an exposition of retro technology awaits all viewers.

At 9 pm, the evening light motorcycle parade will start, and this will be the enchanting end of the Motostolitsa 2019 Festival. Its route will pass from the Klenovaya Alley, through Inzhenernaya Street and Belinsky Bridge, and then the participants will turn to the embankment of the Fontanka River, along Nevsky Prospekt and will go to Palace Square and the spit of Vasilyevsky Island. Further, the route will run from Makarov embankment through Tuchkov Bridge and to Zhdanovskaya Embankment, then go to the Bolshoi Petrovsky Bridge to the Yuzhnaya Road and end its movement at the Alpen House restaurant.
