The award ceremony took place in the Official Hotel of the State Hermitage Museum, which was the winner in the World Luxury Hotel category in 2018.
Awards were presented in more than 100 nominations. The best restaurant in the world is Gate at Quoin Rock (South Africa). The best Spa is Bio-Spa Victoria Gran Lujo (Spain).
Vladimir Grishukov, the chef of the restaurant 'Catherine the Great' of the Official Hotel of the State Hermitage Museum, became the Best Head Chef in Northern Europe. For the gala ceremony, the chef specially developed a menu of six courses, based on the recipes of the Russian Imperial House.
Among the Russian participants, the main prize in the nomination of Luxury Heritage Restaurant went to the Moscow restaurant ‘Ottepel’.
