Bolshaya Konyushennaya Street may become tax free

The street in the centre of St. Petersburg may become tax free.

'St. Petersburg Diary' informs that according to the Russian government decree Bolshaya Konyushennaya Street may become the tax free zone. It will be a pilot project.

In St. Petersburg, it will be allowed to trade under special rules not only in DLT, but also throughout the street.

In the frameworks of the Tax Free programme in St. Petersburg and 11 other regions, foreign tourists who make a purchase in the special area, can return the VAT on purchased goods.

According to the established rules, the cost of purchases should not be less than 10 thousand rubles.
