The All-Russian Open Culinary Championship Chef a la Russe was held as part of the annual ‘Metro Expo 2019’ exhibition, where 16 regions that participate in the federal project ‘Gastronomic Map of Russia’ presented more than 100 regional products.
The team from St. Petersburg won a long-awaited victory and got an internship to the world famous culinary school at Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon. The chefs Alexander Zherebtsov, Mansur Nigmatulin and pastry chef Julia Dotsenko from St. Petersburg Team ‘Nevsky Legion’ have already participated for tree times in Chef a la Russe.
The All-Russian Open Culinary Championship Chef a la Russe has been held since 2014 by METRO Cash & Carry with the support of the National Culinary Association of Russia under the auspices of the World Association of Chefs' Societies (WORLD CHEFS - WACS). The main mission of the event is to set high professional standards for chefs and to help representatives of the hospitality industry to achieve world-class standards.
