Navy parade rehearsal raises bridges

On July 29 in the waters of Neva in Saint Petersburg and in Kronstadt roadstead, the Main Naval Parade (MNP) will take place, and on July 22 its general rehearsal will be held. In accordance with the plan for the parade, the Chief Command of the Navy in Saint Petersburg planned a number of restrictions on the movement of vehicles, according to Committee for Development of Transport Infrastructure of St. Petersburg.

On 17, 18, 20, 21, 23, 27, 30 July the planned opening of Blagoveshchensky, Dvortsovy, Troitsky and Liteiny bridges will be extended until 06.00 a.m. On 13, 20, 22 and 26 July at the Senate Square it is planned to conduct training of the ground part of the Main Naval Parade.

In this regard, from 19.30 to 21.30 on 13 July and 20 July, 2018, and also from 10.00 to 13.00 on 26 July, the traffic of vehicles along the Admiralteiskaya naberezhnaya (Admiralty embankment), Senatskaya Ploschad' (Senate Square), Angliyskaya naberezhnaya ( English embankment) from the Senate Square to the Blagoveshchensky Bridge will become an out-of-traffic area.

From 11.00 to 13.00 on 22, 26 and 29 July will take place an unscheduled opening of Blagoveschensky, Dvortsovy, Troitsky and Liteiny bridges. On the same days, road closures are planned on the Admiralty embankment from Blagoveshchensky Bridge to Dvortsovaya Embankment, on Dvortsovaya Embankment, also on Kutuzov Embankment from Dvortsovaya Embankment to Liteiny Bridge, Birzhevaya Square, Dvortsovy proezd (Palace Passage), and Admiralty prospect.

Also on 26 and 29 July diversion of traffic flow from Nevsky and Moskovsky prospekts and Gorokhovaya street is proposed to be organized on the embankment of the Fontanka river, from Ligovsky prospekt to the naberezhnaya Obvodnogo kanala (Obvodny canal embankment). In addition, it is planned to close the entrances to Liteyny bridge from Pirogovskaya and Arsenalnaya embankments. On Bolsheokhtinsky bridge with use of a reversible lane it is planned to provide advantage to enter the central part of Saint Petersburg.

In addition, on July 22 in St. Petersburg will be held the International Marathon "White Nights" , which starts at 7:50 a.m. from the Palace Square.

The main diversion of traffic flow is planned to be carried out along the perimeter of the marathon route to Liteyny Prospekt, to Fontanka river embankment, Primorsky prospect and Vyborg embankment, as well as a preliminary diversion of traffic flow to Obvodny canal embankment.

On the same day, it is planned to close the entrances to Liteyny bridge from Pirogovskaya and Arsenalnaya embankments, to close the exit from Tul'skaya street to Sinopskaya embankment, from Bolsheokhtinsky bridge to Sinopskaya embankment, as well as using the reversible traffic lane on Bolsheokhtinsky bridge will provide an advantage to enter the central part of Saint Petersburg.
