International Economic Forum will be held on May 24-26

The key theme of the SPIEF 2018 is "Building a Trust Economy". It unites four major thematic pillars: "The Global Economy in an Era of Change", "Harnessing Russia’s Growth Potential", "Human Capital in the Digital Economy" and "Technology for Leadership".

Plenary session with the participation of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, President of France Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe will be the key event of the Forum. High-level business delegations from the USA, France, Japan, India, Italy, Finland and many other countries will attend the SPIEF 2018.

On the day before the official opening of SPIEF (23 May) the following events will be hold: 4th Russian Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Forum, International Forum ‘Increasing the Contribution of Women to Economic Growth and Prosperity: Creating an Enabling Environment’, ‘Women as Leaders’ Conference, and other events. On the third day of SPIEF (26 May) the International Youth Economic Forum will be hold.

Major Russian and international companies with Forum Partner status have the opportunity to present their products. The SPIEF Investment & Business Expo is a platform at the Forum venue where participants can find out more about promising Russian and international investment projects.

The rich cultural programme for this year’s Forum features a large number of eye-catching and noteworthy events, with several benefitting charitable causes. Moreover, during the Forum, participants will be able to visit the best museums in and around the city.

SPIEF cultural programme will be added by a number of events confined to celebrate the 315th anniversary of the founding of St. Petersburg.

Note: SPIEF has been held since 1997, and since 2006, it has been held under the auspices of the President of the Russian Federation, who has also attended each event. SPIEF 2017 brought together more than 14,000 participants from over 143 countries.
