Andrei Mushkarev gave an interview to Radio France Internationale

Andrei Mushkarev, Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development of St. Petersburg, met with representatives of foreign media on the eve of FIFA World Cup.

On 20th March, 2018, the Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development of St. Petersburg Andrei Mushkarev in the lead-up to the FIFA World Cup in Russia gave an interview with Radio France Internationale. He reminded that seven matches of the World Cup will be held in St. Petersburg in summer. Championship’s group stage includes four of matches, two in the playoff stage, and one for the 3rd place. In early reservation of hotel rooms by football fans Petersburg takes 1st place among all hosts cities. Our city expect to see tourists from Egypt, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Germany, Spain, Ireland, Britain, Finland Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Peru.

We are sure that the fame of St. Petersburg in world will be increased thanks to the World Cup. Tourists from far corners of the globe, who know little about our city, will learn about it, get ideas about St. Petersburg and will want to visit the Northern Capital of Russia again, now with their friends and family” A.
