The Leningrad Salute

On January 27, 2018, on the 74th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade, artillery volleys will rumble on the Field of Mars.

Youth mass military-patriotic event, timed to the 74th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade in the years of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

On January, 26 and 27, 2018, a huge interactive exhibition space will be open to viewers from 12:00 to 18:00.

On January, 27 at 19:00 the brass band will perform and at 20:00 residents and guests of the city will be able to observe a unique event – the military-historical reenactment of the Victory Salute that took place on January 27, 1944.

The whole Petersburg, the entire Leningrad region and the whole country are preparing to celebrate the Day of the complete lifting of the blockade of Leningrad. Exactly 74 years ago this day was the day of the Great Victory near Leningrad, which ended the 900-day blockade, a battle that was unprecedented in cruelty, heroism, tragedy and courage, where soldiers and residents of the city stood side by side.

In 2018, the event will become not just a memorable action, but a large-scale two-day event.
