Flash mob at the Palace Square gathered 1,5 thousand people

On 6 September at the Palace Square took place a grand youth flash mob in support of Saint Petersburg as a venue of the 23rd General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

it is known that next week in Chengdu, China will be held a the 22nd Session of the UNWTO General Assembly. Then will be chosen a city that will become a venue for the next session.

Today, a promotion, launched by St. Petersburg Committee for Tourism Development gathered 1.5 thousand students from various universities and colleges of the city.

They formed  the words "UNWTO", "23 GA", "Welcome" and "Visit Petersburg". This action was shot by 2 quadrocopters.

This promo video will be presented on 15 September in Chengdu during the voting.

We remind that Chendu, China will host the following 22nd Session of the UNWTO General Assembly. It will be held from 11 to 16 September 2017. It was no coincidence that the —Āapital of China's Sichuan province was chosen as a venue for such a prestigious ceremony. This city is one of the most attractive tourism destinations of Celestial Empire. It is known as the "homeland of pandas" among the foreign guests, as well as the ancient center that is full of historical monuments.The Dujiangyan, an ancient irrigation system near Chengdu city, as well as Mount Qingcheng and Wuhou Temple are well preserved up to now.
