St. Petersburg became a main character on the Argentina TV channel

Delegation of the TV channel “Canal 13” has visited Saint Petersburg at the end of this summer. The purpose of a film crew was to make a fascinating video about cultural capital of Russia.

 

Program “Resto del Mundo” or “Rest of the world” is the most popular TV-show about travelling in Argentina. Guests from Latin America highly appreciated the tourist potential of Saint Petersburg during their last visit in 2011. Visitors of the Northern Venice are sure that the city needs to promote a brand in the foreign market. Latin Americans were personally convinced that our city attracts tourists from all over the world not only with its cultural heritage but also with large-scale events.

Film-making team wants to convince foreign audience to visit Saint Petersburg not only in high popular season but all year round. To confirm serious intentions, the“Canal 13”says that the main role will be played by one of the most famous argentinean actor and model – Ivan De Pineda.

Representatives of the Committee for Tourism Development and City Tourist Information Bureau accompanied the Latin American delegation during the filming. They have shown the guests the most popular and very attractive sights of the city, such as Kazan Cathedral, House of Books, Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, Nevsky Prospect, Peter and Paul Fortress, Fabergé's museum, Winter Palace, Palace Square, St. Isaac's Cathedral and Raketa watch factory.

The film crew had a meeting with the Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development Andrey Mushkarev, who emphasized the historical and cultural uniqueness of St. Petersburg once again in his interview and has told about government actions of the Committee to increase the attractiveness of its tourist image.

The brand of St. Petersburg divides into three components: history, modernity and comfort. It goes without saying that Saint- Petersburg now is the most comfortable Russian city for foreigners

.”Petersburg has a decent and convenient infrastructure for foreign delegations, "- emphasizes the head of the Committee on Tourism. Maintenance of a consistently high tourist flow, according to Andrei Mushkarev, is possible with a rich, multifaceted and vibrant cultural life of the city and this is now a top priority.

A month later the citizens of Argentina will see a video about our Northern Capital and do not be surprised if with the first snow on the streets of St. Petersburg you will meet unusually many tanned people.
